• Alternate Character Interpretation: Does Jerry hire the inexperienced Becky due to thinking that she has the right perspective to drag Daybreak Back from the Brink, or is he just looking for a convenient scapegoat for the show's seemingly inevitable cancellation?
• Moe: Becky's occasional moments of being a spaz, her Ascended Fangirl attitude about her job, and her passionate but nervous arguments about ways to save the show from cancellation make her a very adorable character.
• One-Scene Wonder: Paul is fired and departs from the movie at the end of his first scene, but his unapologetic Slimeball attitude, Hated by All status, and performer (Ty Burrell) make him a memorable part of the movie.
• Unpopular Popular Character: Most of the other characters are annoyed with Mike at best for his curmudgeonly snarkiness, pride over his past journalistic accomplishments, and resistance to reporting puff pieces. Most of the fans, on the other hand, love these traits.
