- Hilarious in Hindsight: One of the visitors at night on Level 5 is a Doppelgänger of Mrs. Abernathy that Lil has to figure out and deny. One month after Lil' Guardsman was released, That's Not My Neighbor was released on early access, and that game is a guardsman simulator themed around figuring out doppelgangers from real people. Coincidentally, while That's Not My Neighbor is Papers, Please with a horror twist, Lil' Guardsman is Papers, Please with a fantasy twist.
