YMMV / Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry

Go To

  • Anvilicious: Some of Dick and Tuck's dialogues feel like borderline treatises on being tolerant of sexual minorities.
  • Surprisingly Improved Sequel: While critical and fan reaction to the game was a little mixed, it was for the most part agreed that it got much closer to the classic games in terms of story, humor, and gameplay than the rather lackluster Magna Cum Laude and Box Office Bust.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!:
    • One of the main criticisms of the game was that it felt like a point-and-click game based on The New '10s lingo rather than a (humorous) examination between it and Larry's The '80s (also The '90s to an extent).
    • Quite a few fans has expressed dissatisfaction with Larry's redesign, criticizing it for being too young, too lanky, and overall too normal-looking compared to his more cartoony and exaggerated design in previous games. The developers have defended the design as an attempt to return Larry to his design from the first three games, where he was of a more normally proportioned human build.
    • The loss of an external narrator was criticized, as the interactions between him and Larry are a series staple.
