YMMV / Legend of Illusion

Go To

  • That One Boss: The Final Boss, King Pete, is this due to in part to the game's controls. To defeat him, you have to grab the bombs he throws at you and throw them back at him to damage him. However, this is a lot easier said than done, since the button for grabbing the bombs is the same one for throwing soap bubbles. This means that you're more likely to throw a soap bubble than to grab a bomb, and are also likely to take damage as a result.note  Given that the soap bubbles don't damage King Pete, it would have been a good idea for Sega and Aspect to disable that attack exclusively for the final battle.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: Those who played the Illusion series' previous two installments, Castle and Land weren't particularly happy with the ability to butt-stomp enemies being replaced by the ability to throw soap bubbles, especially since this particular mechanic makes grabbing the bombs that King Pete throws to defeat him much harder than it needs to be.
