• Anticlimax Boss: While King Dedede is no pushover at the end of the Secret Path, he can be easy to take down in comparison to the hell that precedes if you know what you're doing.
• Broken Base: With Queen Sectonia-themed mooks and the plot twists that Team Kirby Clash Deluxe carried, many many people were disappointed to find out that Giant Masked Dedede was the true final boss of the game instead of Sectonia. However, other people don't mind too much, just being happy that such a 3D Kirby spinoff game was made, and that the game more-or-less is based off Kirby's Dream Land and the "Revenge of the King" mode in Kirby Super Star Ultra.
• They Wasted a Perfectly Good Plot: With the Sectonia-themed mooks, many people were expecting Queen Sectonia or someone similiar to appear in the game, especially with the fact that Taranza had a huge role in Team Kirby Clash Deluxe.
