- Adorkable: Larguirucho. His speech impediments and clumsiness make him so surprisingly endearing.
- Captain Obvious Aesop: The commissar. "Y todo aquel que en la vida, sin motivo da moralejas, termina tarde o temprano, repimporoteando tras las rejas"
- Ensemble Dark Horse: Larguirucho overshadowed Hijitus' own popularity, arguably becoming Garcia Ferré's most recognizable character. He got his own comics magazine named after him, and it became a Creator Thumbprint of García Ferré's later work that Larguirucho would consistently appear in some sort of secondary role, no matter the setting. He seemingly exists across multiple realities.
- Values Dissonance: Some episodes have Hijitus spanking Oaky at the latter's dad's urging. Today, much fewer places would find showing that acceptable.
