YMMV / Halloween: Nightdance

Go To

  • Complete Monster: Michael Myers. See here.
  • Even Better Sequel: Is in continuity with Halloween H20: Twenty Years Later and Halloween: Resurrection, and is genrally considered superior followup to the former film than the latter film.
  • Moral Event Horizon:
    • Almost everything Michael does in this story. He torments Lisa by stalking her, killing all of her friends, including a child she used to babysit, plus the child's family, and ultimately buries her alive in the cemetery in Haddonfield, made worse due to her fear of the dark. And this all because she has an uncanny resemblance to Michael's sister, Judith. Oh, did we mention HE caused her fear of the dark in the first place by locking her and the kid she was babysitting in the basement of an abandoned house?
    • And before all of that, Michael kidnapped a young couple who inadvertently trespasses where he was staying, killed the boyfriend and was about to kill the girlfriend, before she escaped. Then, when he was chasing her, he stabbed and kidnapped the wife of the dueterangonist, Ryan, and it is later shown that he killed her and made her head into a jack-o-lantern. What relevance does this have in his main plan of torturing Lisa? Nothing. This is just how he passes the time.
  • Tear Jerker: The deaths in the story. Most horror stories, including this franchise have at least one Asshole Victim. However, every death in this book is depressing, as everyone is sympathetic enough for you to care when Michael kills them.
