- Ass Pull: The reveal that the leader of the poachers is an alien comes out of nowhere and with no hints that the game has anything to do with aliens aside from a few connections to Darius... hints which were left out of the English translation.
- Best Known for the Fanservice: Almost all of the fanart for the game, especially on Pixiv, revolve around the Dolls (the henchwoman character) in some form or another.
- Game-Breaker: The whip, which has the longest range out of all the melee weapons and can strike enemies coming from behind at the same time. The trick to achieving an easy one-credit completion is to keep it long enough until reaching the final stage, which can be a bit tricky during the lava stage.
- Most Wonderful Sound: Inserting a credit lets out a "Hey, come on!" with a heavy American accent. The Angry Video Game Nerd pressed the insert coin button just to hear it.
