  • Diagnosed by the Audience: Julian is shy, refuses to follow instructions, frequently cries, and wets himself often enough that his mother has to bring spare underwear to school for his cubby. Of course, this changes when he turns into a dog.
  • Funny Moments: Many of them, but especially Miss Human leading her class in a rousing song about her mass-murdering mother.
  • Nausea Fuel: All over the place in this movie. There's the spittle-drenched kiss scene, the commercial selling pre-chewed baby food, the scene where the women attending a baby shower cheerfully spit their food back up, the Gross-Up Close-Up of Jill's teeth when she takes her braces off...
  • Nightmare Fuel: A surprising amount of it—especially the scene where Jill gets a haircut and her hair starts bleeding.
  • One-Scene Wonder:
    • Rob, who (briefly) dated a murder victim and is asked to give a speech at her memorial even though he barely knew her, resulting in one of the movie's best moments of Cringe Comedy.
    • The photographer and his wheelchair-bound assistant.
    • The waiters who are hilariously terrified and tearful when they screw up.
  • Paranoia Fuel: The many reminders of Jill's stalker throughout the movie. Even without the stalker, though, the camera has a voyeuristic quality to it that makes you uneasy, even in rather benign scenes.
