YMMV / Good Game

Go To

  • Base-Breaking Character: Hex, half like her because she's a girl and half hate her... because she's a girl.
  • 8.8:
    • Bajo gave Singstar: Take That a 4 just because the game worked. Nobody seemed to mind probably because there aren't much hardcore Take That fans in their primary demographic. Besides, it was a Singstar game.
    • He also gave Lego Rock Band an extra point for having the Ghostbusters theme. This was lampshaded.

  • He Panned It, Now He Sucks!: Even fans of the show have to agree that their review of Wii Sports Resort was a bit harsh.
  • Memetic Mutation: Brown Pants
    • "I fingered her in a nightclub"
    • Especially prevalent in the Ask Spawn Point segment. Things that start of as little jokes added by the viewers in their letters get picked up by other viewers. Eventually, the hosts start to pick up on them and continuously reference them thus reinforcing the meme. The most notable example is when viewers add emojis to the ends of their letters for Hex and Bajo to vocalize.
    • Pocket has 'JOLENE!'.
  • More Popular Replacement: P-Nutz the stuffed monkey was originally featured as a sidekick host, but he was reviled by fans which eventually led to the character being killed. A few years down the track, another non-human sidekick, a robot named D.A.R.R.E.N., showed up on the spin-off sister show Good Game: Spawn Point who became very popular, especially among kids for how funny he was and the amazing chemistry he had with the human hosts.

  • Replacement Scrappy: At the start, Hex. The complaining has died down since then.
  • "Stop Having Fun" Guys: DARREN seems to be Take That! to this sort of gamer.
  • The Scrappy: P_Nutz was the first. DARREN follows in his footsteps to some, but he only occasionally makes an appearance outside of Spawn Point, so he gets immensely less hate.
  • Take That, Scrappy!: P_nutz is a yellow monkey puppet who co-hosted season one and was hated by the fans. Season five onwards has had him make humorous cameos that make fun of him. He was eventually killed off altogether.
  • They Changed It, Now It Sucks!: See Executive Meddling.
