• Harsher in Hindsight: The film version has called American Football too overprotected; at the time of writing the draft, CTE was not too well known in Japan.
• Spiritual Adaptation: The near-future setting, with Invisibility Cloaks, ID-locked guns, machines with organic muscles, super soldiers as protagonists, nanomachines, philosophizing about current issues, and more amusingly, themes about the power of language basically makes this the closest thing we'll have to a Metal Gear movie for a while. Unsurprisingly, Project ITOH even penned the novelization of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, which also involves a globe-trotting manhunt for a criminal mastermind, including a stop at the Czech Republic.
