YMMV / Friday the 13th: Vengeance

Go To

  • Accidental Innuendo: Right after an In-Universe example, no less. As Frank is describing how to pitch a tent in an unintentionally sexual way, it cuts to Donna asking Ashley, "Do you want to come inside?"
  • Ass Pull: The Reveal that Elias was behind the double murder of the counselors from the beginning of the first movie. It really makes a lot less sense given that the counselors seemed to recognize Mrs. Voorhees, but there was never any suggestion that anyone at the camp knew Elias.
  • Big-Lipped Alligator Moment: The two women on their way to the tour whose car breaks down and get killed by Jason. There's no justification for the scene being in the movie besides adding filler, and Sheriff Realotti doesn't even find their bodies to cover up their murders.
  • Moral Event Horizon:
  • Narm Charm: On the one hand, it's a Friday the 13th film, but on the other ... it's a Friday the 13th film, and any badness in it is probably intentional.
  • Special Effects Failure: A close up of Jason's mask makes it painfully obvious that the black eyeholes are nothing but fabric.
