Accidental Aesop: Be upfront when you want to provide a service for monetary gain. If Eddy had been upfront about helping Rolf get over his homesickness by constructing a fake village based on his homeland in exchange for a small fee, they might have been able to avoid the pain they end up getting at the end of the episode.
Unintentionally Sympathetic: Seeing Eddy and Edd getting smacked around by Ed thanks to Rolf performing one of his villages songs can be a bit hard to see as a reasonable payback, as while they were trying to exploit Rolf's homesickness for monetary gain, Rolf legitimately was enjoying the whole charade up until it was revealed and it did seemingly help him get over his homesickness at the end of the episode, thus making Rolf seem like an Ungrateful Bastard. Though it's also possible that he might have at least believed Edd's explanation, and Eddy wasn't wrong about him wanting to celebrate.
