  • Harsher in Hindsight: Westcott's actions in intentionally causing the First Spacequake through Rinne become this when Volume 17 reveals that's exactly what he did through Mio in canon.
  • Hilarious in Hindsight: Some of the author's ideas ended up matching reveals in the novels that came after.
    • During the Kurumi arc, it's revealed that Shido and Mana were alive during the time of the First Spacequake, and that Shido's powers come from his mother being a Spirit. With the release of Volume 17, both plot points have become true in canon.
    • At the end of the fanfic's first Season, Rinne uses the stored time power Kurumi put into the Cassiopeia to revive all the past predecessors. Volume 17 shows that while not as complete, Mio did a similar thing for Shido.
    • The Ethereal Forms of each Spirit having a platinum coloration to them becomes this upon the release of Volume 18's cover.
    • Originally, Mio's only Angel in the story was Ain Soph Aur. The Volume 18 cover shows that Ain Soph Aur just happens to be one of her official Angels.
  • Iron Woobie: The Yamai twins, who had been doing their competitions to delay the inevitable scenario where either one, or both of them has to go. They don't give up until it honestly seems like there's no way they’ll both survive, and this has been going on for years by the point of their debut in the story, all because they both became Spirits when only Yuzuru was intended to be given the Raphael Crystal.
  • Shocking Moments: The halfway point of the Mio Salvation arc, where the Devil has finally been revived.
  • Unexpected Character: Mio Takamiya was this for the story as she was only added due to revelations of Volume 17 being, in the words of the author herself, perfect for what she had planned, and because the reveals happened at the right time.
