• Tear Jerker: This series really wants to make you sad. Until there are enough moments, however, this isn’t getting its own page.
  • The announcement for the series. There are three types of shots in it— the creator’s Gachasona explaining the premise, the titular “Children’s Game”, and the characters lives in the present of the story. The childhood shots are directly interposed with the teenhood shots, and most characters depicted in said shots are… not having a great life. What makes this hit harder is that, in the present, the characters are somewhat dysfunctional… but, in the childhood scenes, they’re all nothing but happy. Growing Up Sucks indeed.
    • To be more specific… Kokichi is playing with dolls just to feel like he has friends, Junko is sitting sadly in the middle of the old playground, Byakuya is studying even though it’s clearly late, Toko has obviously done something… rash, Kaito seems to be frightened of his mother and hides in his room, Teruteru finds somebody (it’s unclear who right now) lying on the floor of the kitchen and panics, Miu watches on as Celeste mocks Nagito’s misfortune… overall, nobody shown is happy.
