- Genius Bonus: Anyone who knows the real Joan of Arc knows that her voices were a real thing that the actual Joan of Arc had. But in this story, instead of giving her guidance, they tell her to fix her pants.
- Moral Event Horizon: The group crosses this when they overpower and kill Earhart. Even worse, it's implied to have been All for Nothing.
- Nightmare Fuel: The scene where the women kill Earhart. You almost forget that they can be a threat, then they overpower and strangle her to death. At one point, Earhart crawls out of the crowd, near death, and tries to make a run for it before being pulled back in and killed. Worse, after killing her, the inmates seem to ''celebrate.'' Pearl White dances around while wearing Earhart's goggles and silken sheet, and Gertrude Stein rips up her notebook paper and sprinkles it around like snow. All the while, Earhart's mangled corpse sits in the center of the room.
- Superfluous Solo: Isabella's monologue about Columbus has no real bearing on the rest of the show, and the rest of the board doesn't even acknowledge it or know that it took place.
