• Accidental Innuendo: During the fight scene between Arumi and a Beast at the end of "The Incredible Operation to Capture a Giant Beast Alive Begins!", thanks to the shot framing and sub-optimal CGI, it looks like the Bullbuster is humping the Beast.
• Memetic Mutation: Due to the title, a lot of viewers either accidentally, or intentionally call it Ballbuster. Given the more grounded, corporate, real robot style writing and characters, as well as the amount of Surprisingly Realistic Outcome, this is quite fitting a nickname.
• Special Effects Failure: The CGI for the Giant Beasts are incredibly low grade for an animated production released in 2023.
• Spiritual Successor: Critics and viewers have called the show a successor of Dai-Guard, due to using mechs to take care of kaijus in an everday setting and the protagonists being confronted with problems similar to those of the 21st Century Defense Security Corporation, and how their actions affect the reputation of their company.
