  • Adaptation Displacement: Thanks to Panda's popularity among certain circles of the internet, mixed with the comic's short length and relative obscurity, it's not hard to find people who know Panda as the attractive pin-up girl the fandom treats her as while knowing nothing of the comic, (or that she's even from a comic at all).
  • Best Known for the Fanservice:
    • The series never really gained a large readership, both during and after its initial run; despite this, the internet absolutely loves Panda Delgado, and expresses it in the way we've come to expect it to. While this has resulted in a lot more people being aware of the series, all that most seem to take away from it is "the busty underage girl in a way-too-small cheerleader outfit with guns".
    • Panda herself, the fourteen-year-old gun-slinger, got the series quite a bit of attention because of her age. While the series was very violent, that was nothing new for the 90's comic scene. What was new was a comic with a sexualized minor, which made a fair number of people quite uneasy, both in and out of the comics industry.
    • The series itself was very short lived, only filling out two very slim trade-paperbacks. The amount of fan material out there massively dwarfs the series proper, making it very possible that someone could be a huge "fan" of the series without having ever read it.
  • No Such Thing as Bad Publicity: The comic's initial controversy, if anything, encouraged ''more'' people to read the book to see what all the fuss was about.
