• Jerkass Woobie: Leviathan apparently had her parents murdered, was held hostage for decades during her Indoctrination that turned her into a Reaper, was abandoned by Harbinger for about a billion years (literally), and finally Brought Down to Normal by Shepard and imprisoned.
  • Councilor Sparatus, after his wife and children are killed when the Reapers hit Palaven.
• The Woobie: Nassana Dantius, in addition to Adaptational Heroism, has this: she's told her beloved sister was a slaver in the worst possible way, has a breakdown, and is nearly shot by Shepard. When she's next seen, she's living in paranoia of her own family trying to kill her and hasn't bathed in months, though Shepard manages to save her from Thane this time. She's then sent to mental health care off of Illium. Which saves her life when the Reapers invade.
