• Designated Evil: Quentin lying that he didn't know Laurel was the Black Canary in order to get his job as cop back. Nevermind that he'd be lying about a matter that was no longer important since Laurel died, he wouldn't cause any harm by this lie, that this show being about a group of vigilantes lies are pretty much a constant and he needed his job back to do some good. Donna insists that "there are no small lies" and the show apparently agrees, since Quentin changes his mind.
• Harsher in Hindsight: Just Anarky's quip that Thea shouldn't be 'a pawn', considering that Thea later becomes Brainwashed and Crazy.
• Moral Event Horizon: Everyone in H.I.V.E. who isn't brainwashed crosses this with their plan for nuclear Armageddon, which does successfully murder tens of thousands of people (with their original goal being the entire world's population).
• Spoiled by the Format: Felicity getting kicked out of the company doesn't hold much weight when Legends of Tomorrow already showed that it's named after her in the future.
