- Alternative Character Interpretation: Was Bronner a corrupted puppet of the Evil, or was he a willing ally of it? Is his ghost the Big Bad, or did the Evil merely assume his form to torment Keyes? It is never really made clear, though Keyes himself assumed that the villain was Bronner.
- Ensemble Dark Horse: A fair amount of critics like Cinema Terror, Film School Rejects, and Oh, the Horror! cite Suki as being the best character, and a potentially better protagonist than Keyes.
- Sequelitis: Rankings of the official Amityville films often place this one near the bottom, and a lot of reviewers regard it as being the weakest or the second-weakest (after Amityville: The Evil Escapes) entry in the Artifact of Doom subseries that consists of it, the aforementioned The Evil Escapes, Amityville: It's About Time, and Amityville Dollhouse.
- Squick: The Sickening "Crunch!" that Suki's neck starts making after she gets hanged.
