YMMV / Abot-Kamay na Pangarap

Go To

  • Adaptation Displacement: Many people did not know the show is based on a movie with the same name starring Maricel Soriano and Dina Bonevie (who plays Giselle in the show).
  • Arc Fatigue: How many times the characters get kidnapped in the show? Or the villains succeeded in their plans?
  • Designated Hero: In real life, Analyn and Zoey would have their licenses revoked by the PRC due to bringing their personal affairs in the Hospital. Instead, the head of the Hospital lets this pass.
  • Questionable Casting: Jillian Ward (the Actress who played Analyn) is too young to play a Medical Doctor since an average age of a Philippine Doctor is between middle-late 20s and she was 18 when the show started. It is also unlikely for her to be a Medical Doctor unless she is really smart (the youngest doctor is 17) but she does some stupid decisions throughout the show like forgiving Zoey multiple times despite the latter's attempts to kill her.
  • Romantic Plot Tumor: This show focuses more on 2 love stories (between Analyn, Luke, and Zoey; and between Lyneth, Robert, Moira, and Michael) than the medical aspects of the show.
  • Too Bleak, Stopped Caring: The show tends to favor Moira and Zoey when their schemes succeed to make Analyn and Lyneth's lives a living hell. When either Analyn or Lyneth had a Hope Spot, some Diabolus ex Machina happened and it's back to make the show favor the Big Bad Duumvirate. It certainly didn't help that Analyn and Lyneth are either too naive or stupid to know about Moira and Zoey's schemes.
