• Alternative Character Interpretation:
  • Was Asanyeo always a Bitch in Sheep's Clothing who decided that anything evil was Never Her Fault, or was she a genuinely benevolent priestess who was so broken by being betrayed and sealed away that she didn't realize she was becoming the thing she hated?
  • For that matter, the spirit guarding Asanyeo's grave. Was it really a good spirit holding back a great evil, or was it the evil spirit it initially appeared to be and it keeping Asanyeo imprisoned what made her evil to begin with?
• Special Effect Failure: The effects in the show are not the best and an episode was even delayed due to unfinished effects, but it generally keeps things stylistically understated to downplay the relevance of this weakness. For instance, while it's obvious that the geumganggo becomes a still image when it's placed on or removed from O-gong's wrist, it's simple enough to not be overly distracting. However, the climactic battles between O-gong and the Black Dragon are nearly impossible to follow. Because the effects couldn't handle them interacting with each other, their attacks are made at a distance, but the compromise of symbolic combat and receiving wounds with no visible sources makes it hard to understand who has the upper hand at any given moment.
