WARNING: DUE TO THE NATURE OF THIS COMIC, THERE ARE UNMARKED UNDERTALE SPOILERS AHEAD.

Undertale Parallel is an ongoing Undertale fancomic by danielssj. The basic premise of the Comic is that what if Asriel Dreemurr never died? What if he were able to grow up, and eventually encounter Frisk? The story starts with that simple premise and gradually expands it from there, adding new characters to the Underground, expanding certain locales, and overall, changing the feel of the Underground. However, as much as some things change, some things remain the same. What is the secret behind certain events that remain, and what new paths will open with this major change of the timeline?

First page can be found here.

Undertale Parallel contains examples of:

  • Adaptational Badass: Asriel may as well be a Shonen Anime Protagonist here. A MASSIVE change from his canon self.
  • Fun with Acronyms: Like in canon Undertale LV doesn't mean Level, but rather Level of Violence... at least for most Monsters, as some like Asriel have LV that means Level of Valor which is different than Level of Violence.
  • Heroic RRoD: During the battle against Chara Asriel uses up a lot of magic, resulting in him losing some of his LV.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite the major change of Asriel NOT dying, some events still happen as per canon. Among other things: Toriel still leaves Asgore and is living in the Ruins, the other Children before Frisk seem to have been killed, and most canon Monsters still live mostly the same lives as they did in Canon albeit with a few tweaks.
  • Leaning on the Fourth Wall: At one point its leaned on the fact that things could (and WOULD) have been very different if Asriel wasn't around.
  • Lighter and Softer: Asriel's survival has GREATLY improved the overall atmosphere of the Underground.
  • Spared By Adaptation: The entire premise involves a what if Asriel did not die.
