Staff Wars is a supernatural action-comedy web video series created by Josh Green, known by his username onexpunchxdad.

When David Shultz, a pencil-pushing US Army major, gets his plan for an upcoming field exercise shot down by a suggestion from another member of the staff, charismatic combat veteran Billy T. Friendly, Major Shultz goes rogue, willing to do whatever it takes to bend the battalion to his will. When US Army captain Tim King learns that the Major has acquired a mysterious relic that can brainwash others into following him, he enlists his friend and colleague, Captain Samantha Stevens, to help save the battalion before it is too late.

Staff Wars episode one was uploaded to YouTube on June 30, 2022. Season one has eight episodes, though Green has released dozens of videos that provide additional insight into the main characters of the series, as well as introducing characters that appear in the main arc later on. Episode one of season two was released on April 19, 2024.

 Staff Wars contains examples of:

  • Badass Preacher: The chaplain. Before he became a chaplain he was a door gunner on a Blackhawk helicopter, and he is still a capable fighter.
  • Cross-Cast Role: All characters, male or female, are played by the show's creator.
  • Ensemble Cast: Tim and Samantha are co-protagonists in the story, and get roughly equal screen time. Crafton, a Breakout Character, also takes a more central role later in the series.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": The chaplain and the command sergeant major are only ever referred to by their titles (Chaplain and Sergeant Major, respectively).
  • Gosh Dang It to Heck!: The sergeant major is quite fond of "freak", "doggone", and "hooah".
  • 11th-Hour Ranger: Billy Friendly didn't come to work for a few days, and was gone during the takeover of the battalion, only coming back to help later on.
  • Precision-Guided Boomerang: Billy Friendly throws his coffee mug at someone. It bounces off their head and returns to his hand.
