A YouTube parody of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Real Housewives of South Boston chronicles the lives of five South Boston housewives: Jackie, a liquor store owner; Amber, a promiscuous single mother who chases athletes; Dawn, a ditz who's married to Marky Mark's cousin; Sharon, who was rendered infertile when a Manny Ramirez home run hit her in the uterus, and Chaffin, a prisoner at Framingham State Women's Penitentiary who appears only on a laptop over Skype.
Originally uploaded to YouTube on October 17, 2011 by Paulilu Studios, the first episode has thus far garnered over 650,000 views, enough to justify a Christmas Episode.
This series contains examples of:
- Nonindicative Name Of the five women on the show, only Dawn is shown to be married.
- Really Gets Around Amber has slept with at with at least six men, and claims to have conceived children by Paul Pierce, Les Welker, Marky Mark, and Marky Mark's Cousin. Jackie doubts that Amber actually slept with Paul Pierce, saying "That dummy thinks every black guy is Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, or SHE WISHES Ray Allen."
- Running Gag: Jackie advertises her store, Jackie's Packies, every chance she gets.
