Life of a Square is an animated/live action-comedy web-series created by offbrand_square. It premiered on July 2, 2020 and is on TikTok with currently five seasons. It stars a friendly square named Green Square who goes on adventures with his friends.
Tropes used in the show
- A Dog Named "Dog": Just about all of the robot shapes are named after their color and shape.
- Breakout Character: Green Square. As to be expected. After his spinoff premiered, he would be appearing in almost every video offbrand_square posted and has the most appearances out of any offbrand_square character, even beating Mr. Hand, SpongeBob, and the creator.
- Bespectacled Cutie: Green Square wears glasses and appears to be cute, although heavily Averted personality-wise since he is an absolute jerk at his worst. In Life of a Square, he fits this trope more well however.
- Butt-Monkey: Green Square doesn’t seem to catch a break. From being abused by his Jerkass best friend Red Circle, to being banned on a website permanently, to being called a recolor by Bob, and to being distrusted by Blue Triangle.
- Jerkass: Green Square, Red Circle, and Home Media Alien have their moments. although Green Square does seem friendly, kind and nice most of the time, he started to attack the other shapes and went in evil mode in Season 3, Episode 25 because he was banned from a website. Red Circle and Home Media Alien on the other hand, are abusive to Green Square. However, Green Square used to the worst offender considering he used to be a homophobic Jerkass and an Attention Whore. However, he Took a Level in Kindness after early-2021.
- Unsympathetic Comedy Protagonist: Green Square. Mostly outside of this web-series, but can be this in his very own show.
