The announced reboot will feature an all-black cast and be set in Alabama, but over the course of the show it will be revealed that the show takes place in the same universe as the original show and to be in fact a simultaneous arc to the original show. Should this be proven true, the show will eventually feature Kevin's unseen future wife.Becky Slater remained in love with Kevin for the duration of the show
