Bennett's family will be flung into the future and meet their son's older self.
Perhaps as the plot of some two-parter season finale, Bennett may end up accidentally pulling his family into the future, probably during some kind of Alien Invasion having to do with the Brambles' jobs. From there, Bennett will be forced to reveal the truth about that he's been doing. The Brambles may feel sorry for him, seeing how his attitude and actions have turned the public against him, and his desperation to fix his reputation brought on by his loneliness.Additionally, the Bramble parents will reveal the truth about their jobs to their kids, and what they're trying to prevent. From there, the Brambles will work with Bennett's older self to find a way to get them back to their own time to prevent whatever Bad Future they're stuck in, while also stopping the aliens in the current Bad Future. It will also result in older Bennett learning some valuable, overdue lessons on how he can be a better person and gain more friends in his old age.
