Jigsaw | Spiral | Saw X
Jigsaw will be the final Jigsaw.
Because you can never say a horror franchise is 100% dead until the main villain is revived.- His body was cut open, though. And there was no mention in either IV, V, VI or 3D of the body unexpectedly going missing, so either Jigsaw is now capable of incorporeally possessing people, or he had a twin brother we never heard about.
- Solved by the fact that the game we see involving the apparent revival of John actually takes place before any of the other films, and the evidence leading to John in the future was planted by his apprentice.
- Apparently, further Saw films have been greenlit.
Conflict between the Successors
- Saw 3D established that Dr. Gordon was Jigsaw's true successor, the one he shared all his secrets and entrusted Jill's life with, but in this movie it's shown that Logan Nelson has taken up the mantle, and like Hoffman and Amanda before him, he seems less interested in rehabilitation than in punishing the guilty. This is bound to create conflict between them as to who is the rightful Jigsaw.
The Chain Hangers were rigged the second time around.
- Given that Logan needed all three of his initial victims to die, the better to frame Halloran for being the new Jigsaw, it's unlikely that he'd risk having that trap's outcome deviate from how Carly died ten years ago. Therefore, rather than offer a one-in-three chance, all three syringes were loaded with acid, to ensure that he'd have an acid-killed body to dump no matter how many were used.
Anna is related to Charlotte Brown/Ann Frank from American Horror Story: Asylum
One tried to kill her baby, one succeeded. Maybe it runs in the family.
