Joy is Endora from Passions
- Tabitha is her mother, after all.
- The reason Joy lives in the States is actually because she has lived there all her life, and only has an English accent because of her mother (one episode of Passions showed that Endora would have an English accent as an adult despite presumably growing up in Harmony); she poses as a foreigner to hide her true identity. I can't be the only one to think it is a bit of a stretch for her baby daddy to be American.
- At some point, she had to give up her powers, probably because of some corruptive nature, and that explains why her life is such a mess, since she was never meant to live as a mortal.
