The Mannequins are an especially alien species observing the symptoms of the Iris in order to better protect themselves from it.
  • Notice how the Mannequins rarely take much actual action. The most they do in Sleep Image Visualizer is sit at the foot of the bed and watch someone sleeping. It can be argued that they're simply watching humanity and the Iris' infection, watching for possible problems.

  • They also seem to be far more alien at first glance. They never appear in actual reality, only within Sleep Image Visualizations and Lethal Omen. This implies that they can only appear through the electronic medium, as evidenced by their far higher poly appearance than anything else in Lethal Omen. They were never meant to be a part of the game, but got in anyway. This leads into the second WMG...

The Mannequin/s in Lethal Omen were rogue agents.
  • The whole You Don't Look Like You thing going on between the SIV Mannequins and the Lethal Omen Mannequins is no coincidence. It's possible the Mannequins have an Alien Non-Interference Clause , but the Lethal Omen Mannequin both wears no clothes and is actively making more Mannequins, as shown by both the pages left in the camp office's attic, and the ending depicting multiple unclothed Mannequins. Perhaps this one felt that the others' approach was too indirect?

Venus will be the key to "defeating," or at least surviving, the Iris.
  • One common theme through the series, even in its name, is the theme of twins. People are actively being replaced by Skinwalkers (evil twins), and Gemini is the Zodiac sign for the Twins, Castor and Pollux. What is a famous "twin" of our own planet? Venus, a planet well-known for being hostile to all known forms of life. Perhaps, even, hostile enough to give the Iris second thoughts about targeting it. And as seen in the Crusader Probe Mission video, GHE Earth seems to be farther-along with space travel than the real world in the 80s. Maybe even advanced enough to send people to Venus to survive the Iris's plans.

The series is a dark retelling of FusionFall.
  • A living planet that consumes other planets comes to the solar system, infects and infests Earth with alien organisms that can take hold of human technologies, and even mimic humans themselves, with the end goal of consuming the Earth itself. Are we talking about the Iris, or Planet Fusion? Only there's no Dexter, no Powerpuff Girls, no Ben 10... no heroes of any kind, for that matter.

Neptune became Vitreous.
  • As was shown in "Our Solar System", Neptune has been mutated by the Iris. Neptune also notably has one large moon in Triton. Vitreous also has one moon of its own (Umbilic). Neptune and all its moons are also missing from their normal positions in "Crusader Probe Mission", so perhaps Neptune was mutated to become Vitreous and Triton became Umbilic, with them being moved by the Iris to form its "Moons".

Alternatively Neptune has been mutated into a child of the Iris as the final stage of the Iris's life cycle.
  • Consider the following bits of lore:
    • The Gardeners and Woodcrawlers came from Neptune rather than the Iris directly.
    • Neptune has moved out of its original orbit by 1992.
    • The Iris displays gravitational manipulation capabilities that would hypothetically allow it to shift its own orbit and seemingly do in order for it to begin its final approach to Earth.
    • Earth's organisms are being mutated.
    • The "Iris's" creatures are seemingly vulnerable to sunlight/solar radiation as evidenced by them never exposing themselves to direct sunlight always being shown outside only at night/dusk.
    • The Iris's trans-Neptunian orbit, it too is vulnerable to solar radiation so it stays at a distant orbit where said radiation is less concentrated and its rocky exterior can be a sufficient shielding.
    • The Iris's massive size for a terrestrial planet and large number of moons, likely planets that it's in the process of consuming, suggesting a vast age.
  • The Above seem to indicate that the creatures we've been seeing on Earth have been sent to it by Neptune rather than the Iris itself after its mutation in order to "pre-digest" Earth's organic matter in preparation for the juvenile planet sized organism that is Neptune to properly consume it and mature. The Iris is very old and needed to reproduce before it died so it reproduced by mutating Neptune and aiding it via Regnad Computing in consuming the Earth. As seen in the SIV dream, the Iris will arrive at the Earth and position itself between the Sun and the Earth, this will allow Neptune's creatures to ascend to the surface with impunity and finish mutating what remains of Earth's biosphere as well as allowing Neptune to feed without being harmed by the Sun's solar radiation. As soon as Neptune as consumed the Earth and matured, the Iris will die and the cycle will continue with Neptune leaving the Solar System to search for more planets with life on them to consume.
