Gorilla Grodd is the true villain of the movie
He could be the man behind the man for Luthor. It would make sense as this is a movie about superpowered animals. Even if he doesn’t show up, he could appear in the sequel.- Jossed. Gorilla Grod does not appear in this movie at all so he is NOT the true villain of this movie. But he MIGHT appear in a sequel.
The cat our heroes face at the end of the trailer is Dex-Starr of the Red Lanterns
It could be him but toned down for a kids' movie (or he loses his powers but gets new ones from the red lanterns at the end of the film).- If it isn’t him, he could be a major villain in a sequel.
Alternatively, the cat undergoes a Heel–Face Turn and becomes Streaky
The squirrel joins the Green Lanterns at the end of the movie
He’s supposed to be Chip from the lanterns in the comics. It makes sense that he might get to join.

Aquaman's ability to talk to sea life will be the subject of at least one joke
It's a movie set in the DC universe, where Animal Talk is in play. There should be at least one reference to him being able to understand what the animals are saying. . . but only the aquatic ones. Bonus points if Merton (the only Super-Pet who is a water-dwelling animal) is the one who brings it up. Dog-El and Jor-El were a team like Wallace & Gromit, in that the dog was the real brains of the outfit.
- Krypto's backstory shows that Jor-El didn't know Krypto would go to Earth with Kal-El, but Dog-El clearly did, hence the recordings in Krypto's collar.
- The pod was able to support both of them despite supposedly being designed for one.
- Lara seemed less surprised and more comfortable with the idea than Jor-El. Maybe she knew their dogs better.
- The Solar Paw Punch is so powerful that it's usually fatal for the puncher, and neither Krypto nor Superman had ever tried it. How did Krypto know he had it then? Because his father included a list of Krypto's powers in his recordings. Jor-El stated elsewhere that he couldn't predict all of Kal-El's powers, so - again - Dog-El knew more than Jor-El.
- We see that dogs understand human speech just fine, but Kryptonians and humans have trouble understanding the dogs. Presumably Dog-El had similar trouble making Jor-El understand everything.
Krypto's mother's name began with L
Jor-El married Lara. Kal-El had a childhood almost-romance with Lana Lang before ending up with Lois Lane. Krypto's father called himself Dog-El, not because he was owned by Jor-El's family but because he had a similar preference for partners whose names began with L. Sequel Theories
Lex Luthor will mutate several members of the Legion Of Doom's pets to fight the heroes.
These could include Joker's hyenas, Scarecrow's crow, and any other pets the legion may have. Eagly from Peacemaker (2022) will appear in the sequel.
If a sequel to this movie happens, Streaky the Supercat will appear in it.
Streaky the Supercat did not appear in this movie, but if there is a sequel to this movie he will appear, he is the second or third most popular Super-pet after Krypto and possibly Ace after all. Possible Villains who could appear
