But that's the thing about ruins - they can always be repaired.

A Turnabout Called Justice is a fan-made work for the Ace Attorney series. It was created by drvonkitty using the Ace Attorney Online trial editor, as an entry for the trial competition The Bright Age of the Law hosted on the website.

Months after the conclusion of the trial of Athena Cykes, Trucy Wright has finally regained the Gramarye Rights and plans a brand new show to revive the Gramarye Miracle. What follows is a devastating accident-turned-murder, leaving it up to Apollo Justice and Athena Cykes to find justice or doom the legal system to darkness forever.

It is the Conclusion of the Gramarye arc.

This fan case provides examples of:

  • Adaptational Villainy: Jove Justice in canon was a kind man who never committed any wrongdoing in his life. Patrick Castor meanwhile attempted to murder Phoenix in an attempt to frame Trucy as part of his revenge against the Gramarye family.
  • Character Development: Detective Fell, at the beginning of the case, is highly cynical, stoic and believes that justice is meaningless. Thanks to Apollo and Athena, he begins expressing more emotion and helps them out because he believes that they can do good.
  • Death by Adaptation: Subverted. While Phoenix is the victim in this case, he survived the attempt on his life.
  • I Never Said It Was Poison: Castor mentions how the locket that Phoenix had on him at the time of his assault had a picture of his daughter in it... even though the contents of said locket were never mentioned beforehand, revealing him to be the true culprit.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Franziska von Karma is as harsh when it comes to her court cases as ever, trying to convict Trucy for the assault on her father. At the same time, she despises Thalassa for abandoning her children and lets Apollo lay the final nail in Castor's coffin when it's clear he's the true culprit.
  • The Stoic: Detective Fell. It's to the point that Apollo compares him to a robot with how he acts.
  • Spared by the Adaptation: Jove Justice died 23 years prior to the events of Spirit of Justice, while Patrick Castor ended up surviving to the modern day.
  • You Are What You Hate: As mentioned by Apollo, Castor's criminal actions in order to take vengeance upon the Gramaryes he hates so much makes him just like them.
