  • Denial of Digital Distribution: The song "Black Dick" was abruptly removed from all streaming services and digital copies of Angel Guts: Red Classroom in late July 2023; the only legal ways to listen to it now are either owning a physical release or having a previously-downloaded digital copy. The band has yet to publicly state why, though most fans figure the song's long-controversial nature (being about race fetishism while not taking an explicit stance on the subject) finally caught up to it.
  • DVD Commentary: Release-length commentaries have been produced for most of the major albums, with the interesting variation that these are specifically drunk commentaries, wherein Jamie Stewart discusses each track while intoxicated. Alcohol is not the only substance used; others listed in the Bandcamp descriptions include weed, whippets, and paint thinner.
  • Reality Subtext: A core element of the band's creative process. Every song and album is avowedly influenced/inspired by either their experiences or the experiences of people they know, these almost always being negative ones.
    • A Promise was the first album released after Jamie's father committed suicide, the impact of this event continuing to linger in their work for decades onward. "Blacks" consists almost entirely of statements their father made before his death, and the title comes from Jamie's mother making them promise not to kill themself too.
