• Line to God: The tumblr was set up specifically so that the author could publicly reply to questions. There is even a "word of god" tag.
• Similarly Named Works: Warriors of the World is the title of heavy metal band Manowar's ninth album. The author explicitly apologises for the unintentional similarity on the About page of the tumblr.
• What Could Have Been:
  • Believe it or not, the first instalment was supposed to be all on its own.
  • The original fanfiction was supposed to be five instalments long, including the New World, an investigation into Yggdrasil and the third classes. Much of the old plot from the fifth instalment has now been implemented into the third, but several concepts were discarded:
    • Rune-Midgard would have become an empire.
    • There was a member of a race of seafaring elves amongst the cast.
    • There was some sort of racial prejudice against Northerners from Southerners.
    • Third classes no longer appear in the fanfiction at all.
  • Nocturne was originally supposed to be The Fool and would have worn a Joker Jester hat. In the first few chapters the character "apparently decided otherwise", according to the author.
  • Flight of the Phoenix was supposed to focus mainly on guild versus guild. Then, as the author said, "Someone decided that the spotlight was theirs.". This only applies to the original, where the War of Emperium plot became a subplot.
