• Follow the Leader: The idea of a Massive Multiplayer Crossover based on a video game company's properties was soon followed by Namco × Capcom.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes:
  • Aside from the below-mentioned mobile port, the first game in it's original state was never re-released thanks to the presence of Mikey and King Kong.
  • The mobile port of the first Wai Wai World was released exclusively on Japanese mobile phones in the mid-2000's on models that are now considered significantly out-of-date (being over ten years old). Thus, it is nearly impossible to get this particular incarnation unless you live in Japan, and it isn't clear if the game is still offered on the official site.
• No Export for You: The game is Japanese-exclusive, likely for the presence of characters that would be remotely unknown outside of Japan due to their games also being cases of No Export for You and two Guest Fighters that would lead to a licensing nightmare.
