• Prop Recycling: When the Oracle dies, his essence uses the model of the Matrix of Leadership. This was taken at face value in Japan who used this to Retcon the Oracle into Primus's first form.
• Pop-Culture Urban Legends: Due to the show's lackadaisical way of crediting animators, and the art style looking vastly different than usual, a long-standing debate on who animated the episode would persist for nearly 3 decades. In particular, TMS Entertainment (who was working on sister show Visionaries) and Ashi Productions (who had worked on the show as an episodic contractor during Seasons 1 and 2) were suspected as the candidates^note with the American fans presuming it was TMS, while the Japanese side of the fandom claiming it was Ashi, none of this was helped by a member of the staff of Burning Rangers (which TMS contributed the cutscene animation for) in an interview in 1998 stating that TMS had worked on the cartoon. In 2020, this would be cleared up by animator Eiji Suginuma, who confirmed that Toei were the ones responsible for the episode's animation all along, but did outsource parts of it to another company, Season 3 regular Studio Look. While TMS would take over for Toei in commercial animation in 1988; their exact involvement with the cartoon itself remains unclear.
