• Creator Backlash: Peggy Webber said that she and her husband "both wanted to throw up" when they saw the movie. Mostly, she feels that it didn't live up to its potential due to a rushed shooting schedule and Alex Nicol's inexperience as a director. Webber was also pregnant during filming, forcing her to battle morning sickness on set and Nicol to rewrite several scenes to accommodate her. To add insult to injury, she and her other costars were only paid $1,000; Nicol promised them a percentage of the movie's profits but the studio reneged on the deal.
• Creator Killer: Although Alex Nicol pronounced himself satisfied with the finished movie, the difficult post-production and mishandling of its release dissuaded him from a full-time directorial career. He only directed one additional feature, the war movie Three Came Back, along with occasional television episodes and otherwise focused on acting.
• Directed by Cast Member: Director Alex Nicol also played Mickey.
• Follow the Leader: Basically Rebecca meets Gaslight. Although it claims descent from a Francis Marion Crawford short story, it's a fairly loose adaptation at best.
