• Actor Allusion: Bobby Bond's personality mirrors that of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, as both characters are voiced by Billie Mae Richards. Not to mention Videocraft produced both this series and the latter special.
• Keep Circulating the Tapes: Eight episodes were released on two DVD volumes in 2005 to capitalize on the remake by Peter Jackson, but 17 episodes remain in limbo. Also, the DVDs are no longer in print.
