- Deleted Role: Daisy Ridley originally appeared in the movie. Her Star-Making Role in The Force Awakens led to her being unable to film any reshoots, so her part was cut entirely.
- Screwed by the Lawyers: The song Will plays on the guitar around the camp fire was originally due to be "You're Beautiful" by James Blunt, but Blunt wouldn't allow the song to be used in the film. Simon Bird spent three months learning how to play the song before it was changed.
- Working Title: The Inbetweeners Down Under, The Inbetweeners Movie 2 and The Inbetweeners 2: The Long Goodbye. The latter was what appeared on all the scripts and (strangely) is the title that appears on Blu-Ray copies when read by the player.
