• Creator Cameo: One of Eleanor's soulmates, the unusually named "Lerf", is played by Tom Zawicki, who handles the props on the series.
• The Walrus Was Paul: This marks the beginning of the writers creating odd, unexplained Noodle Incidents in reboots and never offering an explanation for them, as the montage of Eleanor realizing that the Good Place is actually the Bad Place has the audience treated to some very out-of-context scenes that get weirder the longer it goes on for (all of them dressed up as monks, herding a pig, Chidi being stung by bee's, a clown just...spinning inside Eleanors' apartment).
