• Real-Life Relative: The fire chief who tries to help Alonzo Hawk when he has the flubber shoes is Ed Wynn, Keenan Wynn's father in real life.
• Release Date Change: An insert inside the 2012 Blu-ray of Babes in Toyland promotes 2013 Blu-ray releases of The Absent-Minded Professor, Son of Flubber, and Flubber, in honor of the second movie's 50th anniversary. However, the anniversary came and went without any of these movies coming to Blu-ray. Disney provided no explanation for this delay, but did release The Absent-Minded Professor and Son of Flubber through the Disney Movie Club in 2016, in honor of the first movie's 55th anniversary.
