In real life, Alaya High often does wear flashy and flamboyant outfits for her image and persona as a rapper, but she says in her private life, she often does not like wearing such flashy and flamboyant outfits, and much prefers to rather wear more modest, girly, casual streetwear outfits.
Real-Life Relative: Gladys, the character on the show who's a friend of Sadie and Marky's mom, Trish, from church, and the owner of one of the local beauty salons that Sadie, Trish, and Lay Lay go to, is played by Lony'e Perrine, who is the real-life mother of Marky's actor, Peyton Perrine III.
Gigi's character is played by David A. Arnold's real-life daughter, Anna Grace Arnold.
