• Writing by the Seat of Your Pants: At one point the series left the fight with Kulan Gath and basically turned into a Team-Up Series of Conan with other characters. The author already had the ending in mind, but until Marvel gave the order to finish it he was taking the chance to make Conan interact with all the Marvel characters he could.
• Screwed by the Lawyers: Maybe? Just as the second volume of the series dropped, it was revealed that the rights to Conan was being given to Titan Comics. According to some sources, Marvel's still free to use Conan, they just can't put his name on the cover.
