• Defictionalization: The Card Fighter Project is a fan project of recreate this game series into Real Life, with recreations of the cards from the series (and the rules) to be played as a Tabletop Game like Magic: The Gathering and... Yu-Gi-Oh!, of course.
  • An official version for the first game appeared in Japan-only with SNK vs. Capcom: Gekitou Card Fighters Versus TCG, a real trading card game version of the game. It is mostly the same as the game version, but with some rule differences, like the deck having a limit of 40 cards and the addition of a star ability type.
• No Export for You: Card Fighters 2 as well a TCG version of the first game were exclusive releases for Japan. But in the case of the former, there's a fan translation made in 2008 after the revival of the series with Card Fighters DS.
