Trivia / Right to Censor

Go To

  • Creator Backlash:
    • Both The Godfather and Val Venis have expressed in shoot interviews displeasure in having to discard their popular pimp and pornstar gimmicks, respectively, to join Right to Censor. Godfather was said to have been very close to quitting the company completely because of how miserable he was.
    • Stevie Richards himself came to regret his time in the group; not that Stevie disliked the group itself, but because he does not think he was doing his best work or was in the best physical shape while he was at the head of it, suspecting that may have hurt what may have been a stepping block to bigger pushes rather than what he got when the group broke up (none went too far afterwards, truth be told).
  • Hostility on the Set: The Godfather stated in shoot interviews that he "didn't care" for Steven Richards during their time together in the group. When asked if they ever hung out, he said that they didn't even talk outside the ring. In later years, however, Godfather has admitted his anger was misplaced and that he took it out on Steven. He's since apologised and said he holds no particular ill-will towards him.
  • What Could Have Been: The Right to Censor idea was originally pitched by Joe E. Legend (best known for brief WWF stint in 2000-01 as "Just Joe"). Ironically, guess who didn't get to be part of the group?
