• Follow the Leader: The show was hit with accusations of this due to similarities with Ever After High. Oddly enough, it was all a coincidence - production materials for Regal Academy were first spotted about ten years before the show debuted.
• Saved from Development Hell: The show took nearly a decade to get made. The premise got completely overhauled at least once in the process.
