• Creator Backlash: As the controversy over it continues to follow him to this day, Peter Yarrow continues to express his regret for answering his hotel door for two teenage fans while naked in 1969, an incident which sent him to prison for three months.
  “I fully support the current movements demanding equal rights for all and refusing to allow continued abuse and injury — most particularly of a sexual nature, of which I am, with great sorrow, guilty." • Follow the Leader: A handful of other folk pop acts emerged in the wake of their success, most notably Phil Ochs, who's lyrics were considered too biting for a pop arrangement, and The Mamas & the Papas, who, despite some success, were written off as a watered-down Peter, Paul and Mary.
• What Could Have Been: The trio originally wanted to call themselves The Willows.
