Trivia / Naruto: The Abridged Series

Go To

  • Orphaned Series: No word has been given on a 33rd episode at all in the years since episode 32 came out. Considering that Vegeta3986 appears to have once again disappeared off the internet, it's likely that the series is well and truly over at this point.
  • Reclusive Artist: Vegeta3986 hasn't been very active for the longest time. He didn't join Twitter until May of 2018 (and even then, he rarely posts on it) and the Facebook page is managed by Zeromaster.
  • Schedule Slip: OH GOD. It nearly took the better part of NEARLY TWO WHOLE YEARS for Naruto Abridged 23 to come out.
    • Probably because they, especially Masako, are spending a lot of their free time on Dragon Ball Z Abridged.
    • After 10 months of the series being brought to yet another standstill, it appears they're trying for more frequent releases; episode 27 came out the very last day of February and Masako has announced on Twitter that they've finished writing for 28.
    • And don't forget about the movie...
    • Episode 31 came out in 2011. Episode 32 came out in 2018. Probably the longest example of this trope in internet history. The time between these two episodes is even longer than the actual time-skip between the original Naruto series and Shippuden! Hell, Shippuden ended a whole year before episode 32 came out.
  • The Other Darrin: With Zeromastera taking the place of MasakoX, this was inevitable. Hilariously Lampshaded during the episode:
Kimimaro: Hey, didn't you used to be British?
Kabuto: Didn't you used to be healthy?
    Kimimaro: Touche Kabuto... Touche.
Iruka: Goddamnit I haven't even been in this show for seven episodes!
    • And MasakoX never voiced Iruka to begin with!
  • Unfinished Episode: Part 2 of Naruto: The Abridged Movie has been scripted and at least some of the voices have been recorded for years, but given the reception to Part 1, is unlikely to ever be finished.
